Abstract

Biologist and ecological philosopher Hardin (author of the famous essay, “The Tragedy of the Commons”) sets forth evidence for the necessity of controlling population growth and talks plainly about the taboos that hinder the means to do so. He fearlessly tackles less appealing implications, including the inevitability of coercion regarding reproduction limits.
