Abstract

Using a genetically malleable model system that allows direct comparisons between human and mouse cells, Weinberg and colleagues lay to rest any doubt that murine cells are more easily transformed than human cells, and additionally, find that there may be cell type constraints on transformation of human cells (Rangarajan et al., 2004).
