Abstract

The end of the year is a good time to think about the future, so let’s take a bit of time this Tuesday to think about our duties to people millions of years from now. For a few years now, an intellectual trend — I’d call it an ideology but I doubt its advocates would appreciate it — called “long-termism” has been spreading.
