Abstract

This article reflects on the author’s thoughts concerning fire alarms for artificial general intelligence (AGI) – something that will get 90% of AI researchers to express more fear than Brian Christian presently does. These alarms don’t exist for climate change as of yet, and their absence concerns the author. The article presents various scenarios that may or may not constitute alarms. The author rates the probabilities of each scenario and gives his personal theory regarding an AGI alarm. – AI-generated abstract.
