Abstract
The Center for Human-Compatible AI (CHAI) was established in 2016 at UC Berkeley to ensure that AI systems are beneficial to humans. CHAI’s research foci include how to build AI systems provably beneficial to humans, the ethics of AI, and how to develop AI in a safe and responsible manner.
