Childhood diarrhea deaths after rotavirus vaccination in Mexico
New England Journal of Medicine, vol. 365, no. 8, 2011, pp. 772--773
Abstract
In Mexico, childhood diarrhea-related deaths were markedly reduced three years after the introduction of rotavirus vaccines. This sustained reduction suggests that the vaccine led to decreased mortality, resulting in an estimated 2640 fewer deaths. The findings support the World Health Organization’s recommendation for rotavirus vaccination worldwide. – AI-generated abstract.
