Stanford Existential Risks Initiative, 2020
Abstract
The Stanford Existential Risks Initiative (SERI) is a platform that fosters engagement among students and professors at Stanford University with the aim of mitigating global catastrophic risks (GCRs). The threats examined by this initiative are nuclear war, an engineered infectious disease pandemic, noncontrolled deployments of Artificial Intelligence, and massive environmental degradation.
