Artificial general intelligence, 2008: proceedings of the First AGI Conference
Amsterdam, 2008
Abstract
Proceedings of the first international AGI Conference, held March 1–3, 2008 at the University of Memphis. The conference aimed to give researchers an opportunity to present results and exchange ideas on topics related to Artificial General Intelligence—the attempt to study and reproduce intelligence as a whole in a domain-independent way, rather than focusing on narrow AI applications. The collection includes full-length papers, position statements, and papers on the sociocultural, ethical, and futurological implications of AGI.
